With over 15 years in the industry, working with both local and national accountancy firms, Ian's helped all sorts of businesses - from small start-ups to large companies across various sectors.

He's got a talent for taking complicated financial jargon and making it make sense, all delivered with a warmth that makes even tax discussions surprisingly enjoyable. Mark joined the Walling Accountants team in August 2021 after spending five years at a Big 4 firm where he cut his teeth working with all sorts of audit clients.

He shares Ian's passion for going beyond the basic number-crunching that most accountants offer. For Mark, it's all about building real relationships with clients based on trust, keeping you in the loop, and delivering results you can actually see.

Business owners particularly value Mark's ability to take financial worries off their plate. He understands that cash flow concerns, tax deadlines, and compliance requirements can be major sources of stress, so he works to create clear systems and strategies that bring peace of mind. By handling these headaches, Mark frees clients to focus on what they do best—running and growing their businesses.

When he's not helping businesses thrive, you'll find Mark at Garstang Cricket Club, swapping spreadsheets for cricket bats and enjoying his time on the pitch.

Luna Walling, Barketing Assistant

Luna is our office mascot and newest member of the Walling Accountants team. At just 6 months, she’s still learning the ropes but plays a vital motivational role in the business.

Her main responsibilities include greeting visitors, hoovering the floor after lunch and moral boosting.

When Luna isn’t in the office, she enjoys walking in the lakes, eating, sleeping and destroying cardboard boxes.
