The SEISS (Self-Employment Income Support Scheme) has provided a lifeline to thousands, if not millions of people during this challenging time.

The rules concerning the grant scheme have been adapted and extended in recent weeks but a key deadline is just around the corner.

If you’re eligible, because your business has been adversely affected, you must make your claim for the first grant on or before 13 July 2020.

Check if you’re eligible to claim

You can check online to find out if you’re eligible to make a claim for the first grant. Your tax agent or adviser can also check your eligibility on your behalf.

You’ll need your:

  • Self Assessment Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number

  • National Insurance number

Check online now by visiting the gov.uk website.

If your application has previously been declined, it’s worth checking again. If you submitted your returns between 26 March 2020 and 23 April 2020 check your eligibility again as the online service has been updated.

Don’t miss out, make your claim today on the gov.uk website.
